Sorry that I've been lack luster on posting. I didn't have much to post about in June, well maybe the new Infinity releases, but July will be different.
First off I have a big tourney next week, the Colorado Krug. Should be a good time as now I have more experience with Infinity now. I hope I get a game in against last years winner as well as he's also one of my opponents I play with a lot. Also the Krug is fantastically run by BlueDagger (forum name at Infinity's US forum) so that's also a great plus as well and it's also closer to me this year then it was last time. I'll see if I can get some pics as well for you all to look at.
Also I'm going to be starting up on some terrain soon. I'm thinking something shanty townish...
I know I promised some bat-reps from forever a go but since it's been that long I don't remember a whole lot so sorry about that.

Balls to the Wall!
Well just got done giving a new comer to Infinity his second game. It was fun on both sides as crits were being handed out like candy that game by both of us.
Now this post isn't a Batrep or anything of the game it's just like a "learning" post. It mainly deals with Myrmidons.
Myrmidons:
I've learned by now I either go balls out with these Greek fellows or they sit around and do nothing or try to do something. I get better mileage out of them in the latter. When I go balls out I don't mean I blatantly charge them up the middle or sides of the board as that's a good way for them to get picked off. You have to play smart with them like with anything else in Infinity.
Now I've been learning that Myrms make great support units when used right with a MSV2 or 3 carrier because they have smoke. Now they also make great shock troops as they can get across the battlefield in relative ease thanks to ODD. Then that lets you set up a nice shot with whatever weapon then have. Now I've been moving my Myrms more aggressively then I usually do and it's been paying off as they get into better range for their ranged weapons as well as the ability to enter CC. Now CC isn't the golden ticket in Infinity but it does have it uses though. One being able to wounds stuff that hard to wound with ranged weapons. An example would be any kind of HI. Now it's best to attack one that down to there second wound if you have a AP CCW. Now if your carrying a EXP CCW it's not a bad idea to go balls out on a HI with it's 2 wounds still up. What this does is that it makes it easier for you to remove that HI more easily then it would shooting at it. With the benefits of MA:3 you get to hit the HI unopposed in CC so then it's all down to the dice. The trick to this though is getting into CC without getting shot to bits. Well a simple way is to throw smoke near the target model but not at it. Example. A Myrms around a corner but there's a Wu Ming on the other side it's best to throw the smoke out a ways passed the corner if it hits it then will cover up the Wu Ming letting you enter CC with out getting shot. Now that's if you can get into a position to do that. If you face to face against something like a HI it would either be your best bet to hug cover and shoot at it or drop smoke at you feet and use that to plan another way to get to the HI.
So I'm learning that aggressive play with the Myrms makes them more usable to me then just smoke throwers. They can be my shock troopers getting up close and personnel with other models in the game.

May Infinity Models
May releases have finally made there way to light from CB. Lets take a look at them shall we!
Mulebots
First up we got the dung beetle remotes! Nah, I kid, I kid. These suckers are kind of cute really but you didn't hear that from me. I really like how there kind of big and bubbly and that lets them stand out from the other baggage bots from the other factions. I do like the EVO repeater as well. He's rocking those EVO antenna like a champ!
Dozer w/Traktor control device
Now this is a cool model. I really enjoy Ariadna's grungy look and the Dozer just exemplifies it!I love all the gear he got on him from that helmet, goggles, back back, vest, Traktor control device (looks like a laptop), and his bandanna. You also have to love the skull face painted on his bandanna by Angel.
Malignos Hacker
Hmmm.... I'm digging that hacker arm and all but those hacker goggles on him make him look a little funny. Well he is alien after all so it should look funny to us. Over all I like it but it wouldn't be my first if I was doing a Shavastii force.
Nomad Support Pack
A nice little addition to your force if you don't have the clockmaster or the the Zondbots yet. However the star here is the Daktari resculpt. It's a huge improvement over the last one! No more weird furry looking doc but one that looks a little more human and it looks like she's in a hurry to get to that fallen warrior.
Devas + Devabots
Saved the best for last. I can tell you I'm really excited for these models. We Aleph players have been waiting for these for a long time and all that time has payed off I tell ya! I like the look of both Devas as well as the bots. However some people don't seem to like the nanopulser arm of the male Deva. I could care less about it as it doesn't distract me from the rest of the model. The Devabots look exactly how they looked like in that little art blip in the Human Sphere book, cool!

Sunday Game highlights
Got 3 fun games in on last Sunday.
We played using these scenarios: http://www.infinitythegame.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=5326
We played Offensive and Defensive maneuvers first then Kidnapping, last was Sabotage/Demolitions.
I played the first game with my Aleph then I used a proxy Morat Aggression force for the other two.
How the games went
Offensive Defensive Maneuvers. Ariadna vs Aleph: Tie
Kidnapping. Ariadna vs MAF: Lost
Sabotage/Demolitions. Ariadna vs MAF: Lost
Highlights:
-Van Zant swooping into my back field and proceeds to take out my Asura through a combination of AP Rifle shots and CC.
-The Ariadna troops trying to uproot Achilles and one of his Myrms from a building. It ended with a lot of Ariadians dying.
-Van Zant a 4 man group of Para-commandos come into my back field and tear into my Yaogat link team. Van Zant is then later blown apart by two Panzerfaust shots.
-The Sogarat then gets in on the action and proceeds to drop all the Para-commandos to either dead or unconscious. He was later then blown up by a Autocannon.
-The last game I bring in my Rasyat using AD2 and walk him up to discover a mine then to shoot at it. Then lay down some Zero-V smoke in front of him as well as the demolition target. That gave me a clear path to get to it with out getting shot up by a Para-Commando with a HMG on top of a building across the table. the game was at 2 to 1 and all I needed was for this thing to blow up. My oppenent then rolls the 2 out of 3 ARM rolls. I lost by only 1 VP!

Infinity: 4v4 Data Complex Game
Played in a recent multiplayer game. It was loads of fun even though my team lost.
What I learned:
-Don't sand bag (wait around) to long because things go to hell really fast.
-Try to use Achilles more aggressively. I had him going around getting objectives but that didn't help use in the end. So next time I'll bring a Myrm Officer with CoC (Chain of Command) so I don't have to worry about Achilles being my aggressive Lt.
-Bring a doctor. My team could of really benefited if I or anyone else brought a doctor or some with a medkit.
-Expect the unexpected.
