ALEPH Part 1

The Big Brother, the AI, this is Aleph. Aleph is on of the factions in Infinity and is the one I play personally for a number of reasons from bad ass Greeks to a HI unit that laughes in the face of almost everything that can hide to the fancy AI jumper of the Post Humans and all of Aleph's fancy toys.

Aleph is the main AI of the human sphere and the one that controls Maya and other aspects of the human sphere. Aleph works along side 0-12 (the UN of the future) but mainly works in the business of tracking down other AI's more or less created by the Nomads and dealing with Aliens. The group that does all of this is called the S.S.S or the Special Situations Section and most or not all of Aleph's troops serve in this division. Now Aleph some of the best troops in the Human Sphere from the Dasyus, Nagas, Devas, and a laundry list of other units but the key thing to Aleph in a game play point of few is that a lot of models come with NWI and Dogged and some other fancy things like ODD and mimetism. Also most of the units have good stats across the board and even the Dakini Tac bot is a really good line troop even though its BS is lower the a Fuilser does a Fuisler have Mimitism plus Valor that Dakini's gain automatically from being a Remote. That doesn't mean they have there down sides like any other unit has in Infinity.

Now to give you a run down of Alephs units and descrptions.

Dakini Tacbots: The basic line infantry for Aleph. They are Remotes so you do gain Courage automatically with them. Also they have mimetism and thats a -3 BS to any other unit shooting at you that doesn't have a MSV of any level. They also come with a lot of options like a HMG, Multi-Sniper rifle, a Paramedic options, Comi with LGL, and then the always trusty Comi-rifle as the base model. They have good stats from 11 BS to WIP 13 and -3 BTS but 0 ARM means there a little flimsy and 8 CC isn't good but electric pulse is your friend here. There fast as well with a move of 6-4. Dakini's do have downsides to start off with is they are Remotes so they can't go prone or climb anything so stick one on top of a building during depolyment there pretty much stuck up there. Also being a Remote they have -6 PH added when you try to dodge anything plus it PH being so low in the first place it's not worth dodging just take the shot like a man but this is where cover is your best friend as it should be your number one friend in Infinity. Also if some has a MSV you can kiss that -3 BS from your mimitism good bye.

Garuda Tacbots: Pretty much a Dakini that has AD and a slightly better BS of 12 but still ARM 0 so there still flimsy. They come with the trusty Combi as well as a Boarding Shotgun that is really mean up close and a HMG. There designed to hit up the opponents back field or pressure the flanks and with AD they can do this well but that ARM 0 is going to see you sticking to cover unless you think you can out gun the other guy and use your mimitism to its best.

Deva Functionaries: The first human line infantry we see from Aleph and are damn fine at what they do! They have a good stat range with CC 14, BS 12, PH 11, WIP 15, ARM 2, -3 BTS, 1 W. The PH 11 could be less desirable but the others make up for that like WIP 15 and ARM 2. Plus the Deva has NWI so they are a pain to but down for good and can keep in the fight for a little longer. They come with a range of options: Regular Combi, Hacker, Synchronized (Devabot), Spitfire and MSV2, Sensor, LT. (Devabot). The Spitfire and MSV2 option is a great way to get in a MSV at low poinst games and the LT. option is one of of Alephs best LT. for high point or low point games plus you get a free Heavy Flamethrower with the Devabot. No major Downsides for my view.

Asuras: Personally one of the meanest units Aleph has to throw at you. They are the HI of Aleph and are some of the best in the sphere for good reason. The Asuras state line is solid with a CC 16 and a mean BS 14 plus PH 14, WIP 15, ARM 5, -6 BTS, 2 W. They are very hard hitters with a BS 14 and ARM 5 and the WIP makes for a great LT. option that the Asura can take. Other options include a Spitfire, basic Multi-rifle, and hacker. What also makes the Asura a force to be reckoned with is the MSV3 and match that with a Spitfire you have a great camo hunter but she can do other things like a full on assault or maybe flanking as she's not slow with 4-4 movement. The hacker option is what some people fear because she comes a hacking device plus so she can mark targets for GMLs and a -6 bts  makes her hard to hack but a WIP 15 helps here hack into things like T.A.Gs and other HI. Downsides are cost and SWC she takes up but that's understandable with her abilities and stat line so don't expect to be using here in any games lower then 250 unless you want to have a slight amount of orders.

I'll be continuing my list of the units in Part 2.
