My MAF hate 150...

My MAF really hate playing at 150 I swear they do. I know I'm still trying to learn how they play and use there troops to the best abilities but damn do they just give me the finger when I put them down for a 150 game. I guess it doesn't help that my MAF are always out numbered by at least 4 or 5 guys (sometimes 10 if my opponent goes for a swarm list).

My rematch game wasn't really a rematch but a massacre. I was trying out a fun list for the game and it worked out okay.

The list I used:

 MORAT AGGRESION FORCES
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

 GROUP 1 (Regs: 5/Irrs: 0):

YAOGAT Lieutenant Combi Rifle, Panzerfaust / Pistol, CCW (31)
  2x YAOGAT MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, CCW (42 | 1.5)
KURGAT Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife (20)
DĀTURAZI Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, Shock CCW (14)

 149 Points | SWC: 3

By I mean okay I actually killed some stuff well 2 things actually. Now the snipers did help pine down the Yu  Jing Imperial Service troops however since I deployed first I didn't get the side of the table that would of benefited my snipers and force better. I also deployed first so I was at a disadvantage setting up my snipers. I did try to re-position one of my snipers to take on a flanking remote (Lu-Duan). He had to climb a downed silo he was using for cover but he slipped and killed himself (we call it breaking a leg or ankle in our gaming group).

After that everything went to shit.

My 150 game with Aleph went a whole lot smoother. It also helped playing some scenarios as well. I had two and my opponent one (he got double VPs for every objective completed).

 ALEPH

It literally game down to my Lt. being the last one on the table giving me the win. I was set into retreat first but my Aleph would get the last laugh. The last moments came down to my last Myrm getting stormed by a bunch of Galwegians and Wallace (link team). My Myrm in his last moments before turning into red mist nailed 3 Galwegians and Wallace under his nanopulser template. He killed the 3 and wounded Wallace effectively breaking the Link. Wallace then ran over to an objective however he did find it (a double agent was hiding among 3 civies). He then engaged my Devabot that was around the corner. My opponent made the mistake of firing at the Devabot and not my Deva that was hanging back at the other end of the building. My Devabot was pumped full of lead but the flames ate Wallace. My last turn my Deva ran back to the board edge and got hit by the Galwegian that didn't participate in the CC with the Myrm. I didn't make my ARM roll but thank Aleph for having lots of NWI troops! My Deva then got her revenge and secured me the game.

The last game of the day was a game of Dystopian Wars. It started off as a 3 fight between the Brits, French, and Russians but turned into a 2 way fight as the Brit player had to leave early. I played the French and to make a long story short a lot of stuff went boom and I mean boom!

  1. At lower point values I tend to run more Daturazi, while having 2 Snipers does give you descent board control at this level I favor more orders. The smoke will help you get around and if throw in a few Pretas you can set up a mines to slow down or even funnel your opponent.

    1. Hmm, a link team of Dats at 150 should be a good way to get around there impetuous and they're a quick link team. I'll try that out next time if I play MAF at 150.
